About Dr. Richard Montilla
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce Richard Montilla, MD to our practice.
He is board certified in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery. He has relocated to Massachusetts from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas where he had full academic faculty appointment and he was involved in teaching plastic surgery residents and medical students. His areas of interest include Facial Cosmetic Surgery, Facial Botox and Fillers, Body Contouring, Breast Augmentation and Breast Lift. He also does Breast Reduction and Breast Reconstruction, Moh's Reconstruction and skin cancer surgery. He also specializes in Complex Wound Surgery, and Abdominal Wall Reconstruction as well as Hand Surgery.
He completed a full general surgery residency from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He then completed both his Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery Fellowships at the University of Massachusetts, and additional cosmetic training with accomplished surgeons in Boston. He also had a clinical faculty appointment with the hand surgery division at the University of Massachusetts.
Over the past 15 years he has gained experience working with world renowned facial plastic surgeons from California such as Timothy J Marten, MD, and Ronald Iverson, MD. Dr. Montilla has also been involved with several not-for-profit organizations that provide free facial reconstructive surgery and hand surgery to children and adults and others in developing countries.
